After several months of careful search, the Board of our Association elected Dr. Norbert Boross as its Chairman. The new Chairman was previously Director of Regulatory Management and Communications at ELMŰ-ÉMÁSZ Group for about 21 years, and then worked as a researcher at the Zero Carbon Working Group of the BME and at the University of Óbuda. He specialised in the integration of renewable resources into the energy system. In this position, he replaced CEZ Magyarország Kft. represented by Tamás Hiezl, Managing Director. Tamás will continue to assist the work of the Association as Vice Chairman. We thank him for his efficient work and commitment.
The Association will continue to provide well-founded professional proposals, representing the views of the majority of the industry, to help regulators work towards efficient and competitive energy trading markets and to serve as a forum for professional cooperation among its members. It is important for us to increase the external visibility of the Association and to involve its members more effectively in its advocacy work.
