It's been a very eventful week for the Hungarian Energy Traders' Association. On Thursday and Friday, we held our XIth Annual Conference, which was a record-breaking event in many respects. Nearly 340 registered guests, 37 speakers from 6 countries. Presentations were given by Attila Steiner, State Secretary, Mark Copley, CEO of EFET, András Hujber, Deputy Head of Unit of DG Energy, among others. The most prominent representatives of the sector from Hungary and the region participated in the panel discussions.
It would be difficult to summarize the lessons of the two-day conference, but perhaps the most important message in one sentence is that market solutions and trust in market coordination offer the best answer even in turbulent environment. However, the changing landscape also calls for a new partnership between all actors in the value chain. The aim of the Hungarian Energy Traders' Association remains to play this coordinating role and to provide a professional voice in finding future development opportunities for the energy trading sector.
